Weekly Dig 6/3 – 6/9

Japandroids – Celebration Rock

Image Well it’s been much too long since I’ve had any sort of updates here, I’ve been pretty darn lazy since school got out, but I want to keep this blog going so here we are with another weekly dig. Japandroids released their sophomore album today, Celebration Rock. After a couple of listens through it doesn’t seem like much has changed since Post-Nothing, and I can’t say that I wanted it to. This Canadian duo has delivered more angsty, fuzzy, garage rock that you can’t help but nod your head to. In fact this album is gloriously uplifting in a way that only punk rock can be, and does as good a job as any album has at living up to it’s name. So take these eight songs and crank em up, because whatever you’re up to this summer this rock celebration will only make it better.
